English language skills are crucial to success in virtually any profession, as it is regarded as the international language of commerce, technology and opportunity. In many countries, knowing English provides a passport. Youll usually teach four hours a day, Sunday through Friday, and have four hours each day to collaborate with your teammates and prepare for class. Often teaching is done through simple conversation along with a local teacher in school classrooms. On some days, youll meet your students for informal English language training. At other times, instructions may take the form of field trips, scavenger hunts, games or other organized events. You can be a valuable resource in English language classroom teaching students from elementary school through college.
