In collaboration with local communities, district health offices and local Village Development Committees, The Nepal Nomad Social Foundation provides regular free Health Camps in rural village in Ratamata. Medical volunteers travel there by 4WD to diagnose patients and treat them for problem of various.
Nepal Nomad Social Foundation sponsored Health Camps will be treated locals of rural Ratamata of Sindhuli District one of the remote parts of Nepal, it can be a one or even a 2 day walk to the nearest basic medical station and too often the only way to get there is to be carried by others. Hospital treatment and primary healthcare is not free in Nepal; it is beyond the means of many families. Because it is so comparatively expensive for those in poorer rural areas patients tend to present very late. When they do arrive at a hospital or health post, all too often, their symptoms are very far advanced and severe. This is what prompted the Nepal Nomad Social Foundation to organize Health Camps. The Nepal Nomad Social Foundation will regularly organize medical students and practitioners to Intern and Volunteer in Nepal.
